I honestly don’t know why I’m writing about this relatively unremarkable occasion, but until a few weeks ago, a library card was a foreign concept to me. In a way, it still is. I come from a place that does not have a strong (or existing) “library culture”. Unless you attend a private school, you’d be hard pressed to have access to a good library.
